I Have stayed across the street from Honey Creek at Zenith campground a couple of times. I hope you made it to the Eye of the Needle and the double arches while you were there. It is a pretty long ride, but well worth it. Didn't know how much riding you would get done with the grandchild. Doesn't matter does it? Any, I am sure with that child was great fun. We will probably not travel any more this year, but we are riding here in the area. Have some great trails 30 minutes from here. We are blessed to live in the East Tenn mountains. It is beautiful here right now with all the leaves changing. Had a great ride Sat on an old logging trail. Totally in the woods. The color was AWESOME! Take care and Happy Trails - Trying to get info on Rudys Ranch in KY if you or someone you know has been there. Thanks
Bruce, you told me to let you know if I found a new place. Last week we went to Hohenwald, TN to a place called Many Cedars. The campground is really pretty, the barns are good and they cook you breakfast each morning if you like. The trails are not mountains, but hills, quite rocky, but all the riding is in the woods. There is an outer loop that you can take which crosses the old Natchez Trace trail. It was really pretty and we enjoyed it very much. A fall trip would be the best. Next time we go, we will probably pad the front feet of our horses because of the rock. Other than that we loved it, but we are from East Tenn which a Sunday afternoon ride is up the side of mountain and then back down. Take a look at it on the net, see what you think.
