What breed do you own primarily?: Quarter mare, Spotted Saddle horse gelding

Where was your favorite trail riding experience?: Anywhere my posse of friends is riding.

Tell us something about you, anything.: I love to be in the woods on my horse with my friends. I love to camp out with my horse. I love to walk my horse down shady trails and see all the beauty you miss when riding in a car. I am looking forward to meeting many new trail riding buddies through this site.

Another fine day...

It seems the extreme cold weather has stopped for now and we are back to a more normal weather pattern. Riding is back at the top of my list of things to do! Met a couple and a bunch of their friends at Laurel Hill WMA yesterday and rode for 4 hours...a little much for us for a ride this early in the riding season. I woke up sore this morning! One fine day...

Snow, snow, and more snow plus all the freezing weather have really put a kink in my riding schedule! However, yesterday was so fine for riding! I spent Saturday night with my friend Renea and after an evening of wine and music we started our Sunday with a great 4 hour ride. Christmas rush

Well, Christmas is barrelling down on us like a freight train and I am not ready!!! My shopping got put on hold the last couple of paychecks due to 2 vehicles having to go into the shop. So now I am having to do what I hate to do...last minute shopping. As well as end of year eye doctor and dentist appointments. I am cleaning, cooking holiday treats, shopping, wrapping, etc, etc...all the while thinking "I could be at Why Not or Circle E riding"! I am off the 30th and the 31st, but have to work… Continue

swimming with your horse

Yanahli WMA is just outside of Columbia off of Hwy 50, on the east side of Columbia. You take a left on Blue Springs Road (if you are coming from Columbia) if you are coming from I-65 I guess you would go right, but I haven't been from that direction so I don't know if Blue Springs road loops back to Hwy 50 or not. swimming with horses

Well, we tried something new with our horses yesterday. Due to the heat, instead of going riding with Little Rock and Summer...we went swimming! Little Rock really seemed to enjoy the water...he pawed and stuck his head under the water, splashing and having a great time. Some friends and I went last weekend to Yanahli WMA just east of Columbia and rode and we watered the horses there in the Duck River. It had the strap but the buckle on the side is gone, it think that is all but I know that needs to be fixed.
