Gary Lane Gaited Horse Clinic

Noted gaited horse trainer and clinician, Gary Lane, will host a clinic on July 27, 2014 during the Pleasure & Colt International Grand Championships, in Murfreesboro, TN. The clinic, open to ten individuals and their horses (on a first come, first serve sign up), will benefit the Walking Horse Owners Association (WHOA). The fee is $150 per applicant and a $40 fee for those individuals who want to attend and audit the clinic.

The clinic will consist of a discussion and teaching of the biomechanics of the gaited horse, understanding Gait scale and recognition, bitting for the Trail or Rail and personal individual gait modification and training with the ten participants and their horses.

"I'm very proud of the things that WHOA is doing for the Tennessee Walking Horse and I wanted to have this clinic to show my support. All the proceeds go to the Walking Horse Owners Association to help with their programs," said Gary Lane.

"We are extremely proud to have Gary conducting one of his famous clinics at the International this year. We are humbled that he wants to support WHOA and we look forward to working together on many projects in the future," said WHOA president, Dee Dee Miller.

For more information and applications contact WHOA at 615-494-8822 or print the application from www.walkinghorseowners.com.

Hey Judi, we went riding this last weekend at Why Not, (thanks to a last minute cancellation on 'our' cabin!). It was great, even though I had to take my husband home Saturday, (he started running fever) and then I had to leave on Sunday to go out of town. Didn't get enough riding time, but better than nothing. I am off this next weekend, and would love to go somewhere new...Circle E, Bucksnort, Laurel Hill? Where is Laurel Hill anyway? I don't know when my husband is off, so I might have a free spot in the trailer. I will let you know!

When is your next trail ride?
Comment by Sonya Cesnik on August 15, 2009 at 10:59pm
Judi, We ride together as often as possible. Sometimes we have an extra spot in a trailer. Since some of us live in Franklin, it could be that you could trailer with one of us. I'll try to give you as much notice as possible before we go next time. Welcome! Sonya

You all sound great to me. I live in Franklin - As soon as I find a trailer I would love to ride with you all. I love my horses! How do you become a member?

Leiper's Fork is in Williamson county south west of Franklin, TN. It is not far from the Natchez Trace, too.

No I didn't take it off, it went to the regular picture file, not to our gang profile. I will try to fix it later when I see you again.
