Normandy lake trails

Does anyone know the status of the trails at Normandy Lake.   I've heard rumors again of them being closed due to a couple of recent injuries.  I know TVA had been working with a group that had been creating a plan for better use of the trails. But would not promise not to close.

With the same logic all interstate highways would have to close.  I am saddened to hear of discussions of trail closings.  Citizens need to get involved.
