Hi All,

I'm new to the group and currently live in Virginia.  DH and I plan to relocate to TN after almost 30 years in Virginia's hunt country.  We currently live in an HOA community with 35 miles of community trails.  I have never owned a truck or a trailer (even thought I've had horses my entire life) and am looking for property in TN with access to trails that I can hack to.  Any suggestion are most welcome.

TIA,

Marci

Be sure to try Big South Fork, plenty of "ride-out" properties, hundreds of miles of amazing trails.

Thanks so much, Mike.  That sounds great!

Just moved to Tn. myself. We moved to The Ridges of Franklin Forest which is adjacent to the park, so you don't even need a trailer . It is between Monteagle and South Pittsburg (40 min. to Chattanooga) on top of the mountain. Love it here!

Sounds interesting, Lenore.  I'm going to have to google that.  Thanks so much!

Try looking along the Natchez trace area. Any realtors up here could help you. Good Luck! Linda

Thanks, Linda.  I'm going to look right now.  :-)

Please give me a call.  We have a listing close to Pinewood rd and ride out to trace that may work for you.  931-993-9650  Herbert Miller, Broker, McArthur Sanders Real Estate.

Try the Norris area - I think there are a couple so houses with property for sale that you can ride right out from. Great trails - good luck!

Thanks, Stacy, I'll have a look.  :-)

I'm in the Natchez Trace area. I can ride out from my home thanks to the graciousness of my neighbors. Several other riding areas here--Napier Lake, Laurel Hill and a couple others. Big South Fork is the optimal place for riding out from your residence. Not much there though so if you are used to Liquor, big box stores, shopping malls that is not the place for you. There are several areas where you can purchase a residence and ride to Milky Way. A big hunt area is Blue Creek. Kind of a private community where houses don't go up for sale very often. Then there is always the Smokies. I haven't made it there yet. It's on my bucket list. I can recommend a good real estate agent. She'll take you anywhere you want to go to look at property. PM me at pojoranch@gmail.com for her number.

Well, last weekend DH and I lucked out big time.  We are closing on 23+ acres across the road from the Cumberland trailhead and with another trail into the BSFNRRA along one boundary.  WooT!

Congrats. Are you in Spruce Creek?
